Hi everyone,
So I failed at getting pictures posted last night, but I'm hoping you'll forgive me when you see how cute the pictures I have to share with you are. Dallas' babies are doing great, even with having to have limited contact with mom. Because of the medications Dallas is on, they are not allowed to nurse from her, but every time they see her they go for the milk bar! To make sure the puppies get enough to eat and don't go too far between meals, we are currently offering 4 meals a day. While they had to be weaned a little bit earlier than usual, the puppies are doing great eating puppy chow and have no trouble with the dry kibble.
While normally we would have transitioned mom and puppies to living out at the property full time, with Dallas in a cast, we are keeping everyone indoors. To make sure puppies feel comfortable both indoors and out, we will continue making trips out to the property with them. I have not been taking the puppies outdoors at our condo because of disease risk - there are just too many other dogs that use the common spaces and I don't want to chance the health of the puppies. Luckily, indoors the puppies are doing great using puppy pads or a litter pan filled with pine pellets to potty and they almost always use the litter pan for their poops.
Ok, so enough updating for now. You all need some pictures, so without further ado, enjoy!
